So - The Rules!
This is NOT anything complicated...trust us, simple and straightforward (...a LOT simpler than some of these beers!)
Each run will be a 5K distance, unless the host brewery decides they want a 10K as their event.
Ideally, the run will finish at or close to the brewery, though finding suitable run courses may not allow that.
Rule Number One
Most importantly, keep in mind that this is intended to be a fun event. Be safe, make sure you are comfortable with the distance you are running/walking, and obey all traffic laws and race management requests.
Rule Number Two
Each course is a 5K (a little over 3 miles.) You do the run or run/walk or walk at your own pace...please save the crawling until AFTER you have had the beer.
Rule Number Three
Make sure we know you finished your run...with beer involved, who knows.
The entry fee for each run will include a beer or two, or a sample flight, for example.
That decision will be made by the host brewery. A run series t-shirt will also be provided, once all participant breweries are confirmed.
Series champions will be determined by the number of points accumulated. The depth of awards will be dependent on the number of entries. In order to be eligible for the series award, participants must register for the entire series. Points accumulated for each race will vary, based on the number of registered participants.
This is best demonstrated by example:
Run 1: 30 male, 30 female racers registered.
1st place male and female each receive 30 points.
2nd place will receive 29 points, 3rd place 28 points, etc.
Run 2: 15 male, 20 female racers registered.
1st place male receives 15 points.
2nd place will male receives 14 points, 3rd place 13 points, etc.
1st place female receives 20 points.
2nd place will male receives 19 points, 3rd place 18 points, etc.
